Part 3

It’s time to collect guests, we will use the boat today. I call our friends at the other lodge and arrange for them to collect the guests from the airstrip and drop them off at their jetty, we’ll collect them from there.

Transfer by boat to the lodge is a great way to begin your stay.

The guests arrive and are already exited after seeing elephants on the river bank on the way into camp. After lunch they settle down and relax; they are off on a sunset boat trip this afternoon, get the cooler and deck chairs ready, which sandbank are we going to use today?

Its 5pm, guests are returning from game drives. There is much happy laughter as they drive in. They saw the wild dogs, and much more, and have developed new interest in birds. Charles the guide always manages to recruit new birders; he’s a passionate birder!

After a day full of the usual and the unexpected, the evening draws near. All the guests are in the lounge area enjoying the sunset and chatting about their day. The black board behind the bar is full of amazing sightings of the day.
